Now they are free from the Imperium's rules they could have their own ship, or capture a planet or moon to base from if it is inhabited, they might recruit or press-gang new soldiers from the populace.
How do they maintain their numbers now they have joined the forces of Chaos? recruit from other warbands and cults? Or perhaps they have some private source of new blood. If the officers themselves were corrupt, then the regiment probably has retained its old command structure, but if they were all killed, then you'd better come up with a new chain of command.Īlso, now they probably include mutants, warpbeasts and other cuddly things how have they been inducted into the regiment? How do they fit into the regiment? To which of the dark powers have your men dedicated themselves? Or perhaps to Chaos undivided? Remember that once fallen, they will change, much like the Space Marines did, altering their appearance and their equipment as they gain new powers and the favours of their dark god(s). What trials and tribulations have they gone through since? What glorious victories and narrow escapes? How did your regiment fall to Chaos? Did the officers grow corrupt, or perhaps the men murdered the officers and defected en masse? Once you have your regiment, simply modify it into the fallen warband of psychotic killers of your dreams/nightmares.
